Peep the final in the b-boy battle at last month’s Life Elevated jam! It was Slinky vs. Demonio in the finals– Demonio ended up winning. This was one of the illest battles I’ve seen in a LONG time! Mad props to Anthony (Papa Smurf) from Urban Media Lab Productions for putting together this DOPE promo video for the monthly Life Elevated show!  Who’s that ugly rapper dude in the video?

You gotta check out this video of a dude who made his own Daft Punk helmet!  Freeking insane!  Very dope.  I want one to hide in.

This, my friends, is one of the greatest videos ever made.  It explains precisely how, and why, our country was set up the way it is.  The video then describes how we are at a crossroads now.  We are on the verge of literally destroying, and losing the very things that have made us the greatest nation in the history of mankind.  And it all hinges on our personal morality and righteousness.  Please, if you watch any video or read anything on this website, watch this.

Y’all can bash Bush all you want, but let the truth be told.   Bush and other Republicans tried to avert this economic disaster.  They foresaw it coming and attempted everything in their power to ensure it didn’t occur.  Unfortunately, several key Democratic leaders didn’t see it coming (Barney Franks) and refused to take regulatory action.  However, I don’t absolve all the Republican Congress member of any wrong doing.  It was Bush who started this whole bailout nonsense… but then again, a bailout would have never even been viewed of as an option if the warnings from the Bush administration had been heeded.  But this video is quite telling.  Peep.

DOPE!  I thought the things he said were very poignant and thoughtful.  Definitely inspiring and moving.  There were some great gems of truth and wisdom in his words.  Peep it here:

Yeah. Ron Paul. I’m about to become one of those Ron Paul “rEVOLution” fanatics. This is the ONLY guy I have seen who actually understands the consequences of un-wise decisions and how they are going to (and are now) affecting our country!

Ezra Taft Benson quoted Alexis de Toqueville , author of Democracy in America, saying “If the time ever came when the people were permitted to vote themselves monies out of the public treasury, self government by responsible men would become an impossibility.”

This video is one of my favorites of all time- I can’t even tell you how many times me and my good homey Korby would watch this video after and before skating. It was SO revolutionary in so many ways- the skating styles, the clothing styles, the music, etc. This song was my favorite on the video this clip is from, Public Domain. It’s weird looking back and seeing what your influences were and how they STILL are influencing you deep down, just in more subtle ways. The new tracks I am working on sampling for my album have this same “punk” type vibe to them. I had totally forgotten how I dug this music back then, until I ran across this video. PEEP-

Ray Barbee was my favorite, but they didn’t have his deck in the little skate shop in Cortez, Colorado when I had the money to get a new one, so instead I got a Steve Saiz deck to replace my Lance Mountain.
